Auction debt recovery
Commercial recovery designed around auction transactions. Auction debt cases often contain a detailed evidence trail — the recovery process should use it.
Information we organise and manage
- bidder registration
- auction terms
- terms acceptance
- bidding history
- successful lots
- invoices
- buyer's premiums
- contractual charges
- payment records
- collection records
- correspondence
Cases can be submitted individually, by email, or through direct system integration with your auction platform.
What forms the claim
- Hammer price
- The sum recorded against the successful bid in the auction record.
- Buyer's premium
- Charged at the rate set out in the auction terms in force on the sale date.
- VAT
- Applied where properly chargeable on the premium or the lot.
- Delivery
- Where delivery was agreed and carried out.
- Storage
- Where the lot remained uncollected beyond the free period under the terms.
- Contractual charges
- Only where the applicable terms provide for them.
We never invent charges and never add a fee simply because it looks commercially useful. Every line on a UKFL claim shows what it is and the basis on which it is claimed.
Evidence-led correspondence
Where the records support it, correspondence refers to the actual evidence held:
- — bidder registration on 4 May 2026;
- — successful bids on Lots 31 and 38;
- — invoice INV-88219 issued on 5 May 2026;
- — payment due on 6 May 2026;
- — reminders issued on 8 May and 12 May;
- — £7,218.42 remaining outstanding.
A debtor who sees the record understands the matter is progressing properly. That is more effective than generic legal language.
