What we are not

UK Financial Law is not, and does not hold itself out as, any of the following:

• a law firm, firm of solicitors, or SRA-regulated legal practice
• solicitors or barristers
• bailiffs or enforcement agents
• a court, HMCTS, or part of the court system
• a government organisation, regulator or police body
• a consumer debt collection service

Scope of instruction

We act on the instruction of a creditor client in relation to business-to-business commercial accounts. We do not accept consumer or private individual debt into the standard recovery process.

Where the business status of a debtor is unclear, the matter is reviewed by a person before any recovery correspondence is issued.

Court proceedings

We can organise evidence, prepare a chronology, calculate the balance, assemble a claim pack and record the progress of proceedings. We do not conduct litigation on behalf of clients.

We describe proceedings as issued only where a claim has genuinely been issued, and judgment only where judgment has genuinely been entered.
